Elite Sunbeds Australia12-month warranty

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

These automatic consumer guarantees are separate from any Hapro manufacturer warranty or other voluntary warranty. They cannot be excluded, restricted or replaced and may remain available after a stated warranty period has ended.

2. Our 12-month warranty

Elite Sunbeds Australia provides a 12-month voluntary warranty against defects in materials or production for eligible new products, beginning on the date shown on the original sales invoice. The product’s written quotation, order confirmation and warranty documents will identify its applicable coverage and conditions.

Any separate manufacturer warranty supplied with a Hapro product is additional to this warranty. All voluntary warranty benefits operate alongside Australian Consumer Law rights.

3. Voluntary-warranty exclusions

Subject always to the Australian Consumer Law, the voluntary warranty does not cover:

  • tanning lamps or tubes, starters, protective supports and acrylic panels;
  • damage resulting from commercial use;
  • faults caused by incorrect assembly or installation;
  • improper use or failure to follow the supplied instructions;
  • lightning damage; or
  • faults or damage associated with non-original parts.

These exclusions relate only to the voluntary warranty. They do not exclude any right or remedy that is available under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Making a warranty claim

Contact Elite Sunbeds Australia as soon as practical. Please provide:

  • your name and contact details;
  • your original invoice or other proof of purchase;
  • the product model, article number and serial number;
  • a clear description of the fault and when it began; and
  • photographs or video where they help show the issue.

If the product may be unsafe, stop using it and disconnect it from power where it is safe to do so. Do not dismantle, modify, arrange an unauthorised repair or return a machine before receiving instructions from us.

5. Assessment and remedies

Elite Sunbeds Australia may reasonably inspect or arrange assessment of the product before confirming the cause of the fault and the appropriate remedy. We remain responsible for dealing with Australian Consumer Law claims for products we sell and will not require a customer to deal only with the manufacturer.

For a minor failure, the remedy will generally be a free repair within a reasonable time. For a major failure, the customer may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement. Other remedies or compensation may also apply according to the circumstances and the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Freight, collection and inspection costs

Where a product is large, heavy, installed or difficult to return and is alleged to be faulty, collection or assessment will be arranged as required by the Australian Consumer Law. If a fault is confirmed, reasonable return costs paid by the customer will be reimbursed where required by law.

If assessment shows that the product is not faulty or the issue is outside both the applicable voluntary warranty and the Australian Consumer Law, any proposed collection, inspection, labour or freight charge will be explained before chargeable work proceeds.
